CHECK YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE

WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER NUTRILY SERVICES?

We are in-network with BCBS, United Healthcare, and Cigna.  We accept certain plans, such as PPO and HMO, for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), disease prevention, health & well-being coaching, etc.  Your insurance may require you to receive a referral from your doctor for you to visit us.  Ask your physician to complete this document.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE THOSE HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS?

If you have a different insurance plan, ask them how much they would reimburse for you to see an out-of-network registered dietitian.  For insurance reimbursement, Nutrily can provide you with a receipt called superbill.  A superbill is a record of your visit that contains nutrition and clinical diagnosis codes that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  You may also need to ask your physician to complete this document.

WHAT IF MY INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER NUTRITION SERVICES?

If your insurance company will not cover your visit or you do not have any insurance plan, Nutrily suggests a couple of options:

  1. You may submit the visit to your Flex Spending Account (HSA/FSA)*, or

  2. You may use the visit as a tax write-off**.

*a tax-favored program offered by employers, where you put money into this account that you use to pay for certain out-of-pocket healthcare costs. You don't pay taxes on this money.

**In 2021, the IRS allows all taxpayers to deduct their total qualified unreimbursed medical care expenses that exceed 7.5% of their adjusted gross income if the taxpayer uses (Form 1040) to itemize their deductions.  Learn more here.

ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS FOR SELF-PAYING CLIENTS?

We offer discounts for our programs.  We also offer discounts on visits for your family members who live in your residence.
