CHECK YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE

WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER NUTRILY SERVICES?

If you are located in Illinois, we can accept your insurance for our first and follow-up visits (no package or meal plan coverage).  We are in-network with BCBS, United Healthcare, and Cigna.  We accept certain plans, such as PPO and HMO, for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE THOSE HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS?

If you have a different insurance plan, ask them how much they would reimburse for you to have a telehealth visit with an out-of-network registered dietitian.  For insurance reimbursement, Nutrily can provide you with a receipt called superbill.  A superbill is a record of your visit that contains nutrition and clinical diagnosis codes that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  You may also need to ask your physician to complete this document.

WHAT IF MY INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER NUTRITION SERVICES?

If your insurance company will not cover your visit, you do not have telehealth benefits, or you do not have any insurance plan, Nutrily suggests a couple of options:

  1. You may submit the visit to your Flex Spending Account (HSA/FSA)*, or

  2. You may use the visit as a tax write-off**.

*a tax-favored program offered by employers, where you put money into this account that you use to pay for certain out-of-pocket healthcare costs. You don't pay taxes on this money.

**In 2022, the IRS allowed all taxpayers to deduct their total qualified unreimbursed medical care expenses that exceeded 7.5% of their adjusted gross income if the taxpayer used (Form 1040) to itemize their deductions.

ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS FOR SELF-PAYING CLIENTS?

We offer BONUSES for our premium package.  We also offer discounts on visits for your family members who live in your residence.
